Been awhile since I have visited this Church. Unfortunately it had some of its lead roofing stolen in October which caused some damage. There is an active group of people promoting its upkeep and there are some open days during the year. Famed for it’s medieval wall paintings. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Lawrence%27s_Church,_Broughton

Soon be cricket again.
Competition Winner. Second Place @ Cambridge in Colour website
Well it is not everyday you come second in a photography competition so I think this deserves another post. http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/thread28401.htm The sharp-eyed of you will notice that this picture is slightly different from the one posted under the title Willen Lake South on the 8th March (see below) and this was following comments from fellowContinue reading “Competition Winner. Theatre District Central Milton Keynes
This intrigued me. It is part of the theatre and the adjacent car park. As you move the design and colour subtly change.
Walton Lake 2
Passing the lake again today the swaying reeds caught my eye.
Part of John Ormond House in Central Milton Keynes
I pass this building often and have had my eye on this feature. Unfortunately the weather turned cloudy so the shot I wanted just would not work. The cloud did break briefly and I managed to catch this shot. Another visit I think.

Milton Keynes Station
Detail of Milton Keynes Station – the attention of a window cleaner would be helpful!
Broughton Suspension Bridge
A different view of this landmark (for Milton Keynes) suspension bridge. A small conventional view below. Not to be confused with Broughton Suspension Bridge built in 1826. You can find information on that bridge here – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broughton_Suspension_Bridge
Campbell Park Events Stage
Into the sun – bit like a spotlight, on the events stage in Campbell Park.
Mr Blackcap
This Blackcap has been a frequent visitor to our garden over the winter.

Ouzel Valley Park
Foreground detail of an old tree in the open parkland between Walton and Willen Lake. Beautiful sunny March day.
Walton Lake
Walton Lake was originally created as a balancing lake for the River Ouzel, which is about 100 metres behind this spot. No longer needed as a balancing lake these reeds have been left to grow and create a rich wildlife habitat. The channels you see are created to provide open water.
Campbell Park
Saturday morning boot camp.
Linford Wood
Moss and low sun in Linford Wood – with a bit of lens flare.
Horses. Tattenhoe Park
Tattenhoe Park is one of the few places in Milton Keynes still awaiting the builders. These tethered horses were once a common sight around the city.
